The popular Presenter Search phenomenon is back on SABC3!

The Presenter Search on 3 spotlight is searching for television presenters for various shows on SABC3. You’re not just auditioning to host a TV show; we are looking for brand ambassadors that embody the spirit of SABC3 as a channel that shines the spotlight on our progress and aspirations. If you have what it takes, then the opportunities are endless and the stage is yours!

AUDITIONS:
Auditions are taking place in:

Johannesburg on Friday the 20th, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of April at Wanderers Cricket Stadium.

Please note, you have to be 18 years or older to audition. Please find the list of full terms and conditions at the bottom of this page.

HOW TO ENTER:

To enter, just arrive at the audition venues on the date of the audition and fill out an entry form. Keep an eye on Presenter Search on 3 Social Media, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for extra exciting opportunities to enter!

Television presenting is not just about the fame, it’s a career that demands more than looks on fleek and adoring social media fans! In addition to becoming the new presenters on the channel’s TV shows, this year’s winners will also become the new faces of SABC 3.

Presenter Search on 3 spring-boarded the careers of the previous winners: Simba Mhere (Top Billing), Jonathan Boynton-Lee (Top Billing), Zoë Brown (Expresso), Danilo Acquisto (Afternoon Express and Win a Home) and Jade Hübner (Top Billing) all of whom became household names. Their journeys to stardom started in the queues of Presenter Search on 3 and you could follow in their footsteps.

This season of Presenter Search on 3 hits your screens on every Thursday at 19:30 starting on the 10th of May on SABC3.

ENTRY FORM AND TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR 2018 PRESENTER SEARCH ON 3

1. I hereby acknowledge/agree/submit that:-

1.1 I am 18 years of age or older.

1.2 I have completed my secondary education and I will produce my valid matric certificate if requested to do so.

1.3 I am a permanent legal resident of South Africa and I will produce my valid South African ID, or other valid ID with the necessary visas/permits that allows me to live and work without restrictions in South Africa, at the audition(s).

1. 4I have a valid passport and, to my knowledge, I am not barred from travelling to any foreign destinations.

1. 5 I am not and I shall not at any stage of the competition be an employee of Cardova Trading (Pty) Ltd ("the Producers"), the SABC or any of their agents with respect to Presenter Search on 3 ("the Programme").

1.6 I have no contractual or other legal obligations that may conflict with my entry or participation in this competition, or that may affect my right to enter into an agreement with the Producers in terms of which I will be appointed as a television presenter.

1. 7 I am able to make myself available for the duration of the competition, should I be requested to take part in further auditions or as a contestant for this competition.

1.8 I acknowledge and agree that I am not guaranteed an audition by attending or entering the competition and that I am not entitled to any compensation for damages of any nature suffered by me as a result of not being auditioned.

1.9 I shall not engage in activities that violate any law, offend against public morals, reflect negatively on the Programme/Producers/SABC/Sponsors or embarrass the Producers/SABC/Sponsors of the competition in any way during my participation herein.

1.10 The Producers/SABC/Sponsors shall not be held liable and I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Producers/SABC/Sponsors and their employees, directors, agents and representatives against any damage or loss of whatsoever nature arising from my entry or participation in the competition. This shall include, but not be limited to, damage arising as a result of travel, illness, injury, accident, death, loss of income, loss of profit, loss or theft of property whilst auditioning or participating in the competition.

1.11 By arriving at the audition or registration for the competition, I consent that the Producers may use any personal information I supply to the Producers for the purposes of establishing whether I am a suitable candidate and for selecting contestants for the competition.

1.12 If I am short-listed as a possible contestant, I agree that the Producer/SABC may conduct such background checks and request original documents that are necessary in the sole discretion of the Producers/SABC to confirm that all the information contained in this form and that I have otherwise submitted is correct.

1.13 I acknowledge that the competition will form part of the Programme that will be broadcast on SABC 3 and/or as otherwise distributed by the Producers and the SABC. I hereby irrevocably assign to the Producer and to SABC the entire copyright and all other rights of whatsoever nature in and to my audition(s), participation and contribution to the Programme, whether now in existence or arising in the future, including without limitation, my performance, any comments ascribed to me (whether as part of an audition, any interview, behind the scenes footage, including in queues or waiting rooms), during my participation of the competition or the Programme and any inclusion of my photographs, likeness, profile, name, voice, sound effect, caricature, literary, artistic and musical materials and the like for purposes of the Programme and/or any related publicity, research and marketing, which the Producers/SABC accept. The Producers/SABC shall therefore be entitled to use, edit, juxtapose, broadcast, re-broadcast, publish or communicate to the public my performance/participation and exploit and license others to use and exploit such contributions, in the whole or in part, by all means and by all media manner and formats whether now known or hereafter invented throughout the world and in perpetuity without remuneration or royalties.

1.14 I hereby waive all my moral rights which I may have in my performance in Presenter Search on 3 as defined under the Copyright Act 1978, as amended.

1.15 Should the Producer decide, in their own discretion, not to proceed with Presenter Search on 3, for any reason whatsoever, the Producer may in its sole discretion elect to terminate this Entry Form without any liability to me.

1.16 Producers, or its appointed representatives (Judges), shall determine, in their sole and unfettered discretion, which entrants/participants shall progress to further auditions, who will be eliminated at different stages of the competition and who will be the winners. I accept that Producer's decision regarding the aforesaid will be final and I will not challenge same.

1.17 If I am selected as a winner of the competition, I will be requested to enter into a formal written Presenter and/or Brand Ambassador agreement with the Producer and/or Sponsors and hereby agree to do so. I acknowledge and agree that I will be disqualified from the competition and will forfeit all prizes, compensation or other rights if I refuse to enter into the said presenter and/or influencer agreement subsequent to my announcement as a winner of the competition.

2. Reasons for disqualification

2.1 The Producer may disqualify me, without compensation, as an entrant, contestant or the winner of the competition, should I:-

2.1.1 at any stage, supply untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information;
2.1.2 be in breach of any of the terms and conditions contained herein;
2.1.3 unreasonably refuse to participate in events or challenges that form part of this competition;
2.1.4 be found, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Producer, to be unfit during or prior to the competition; or
2.1.5 refuse, or fail, to sign a presenter/influencer agreement with the Producer if I am chosen as a winner herein.

3. Confidentiality and what I should do if the media approaches me

3.1 I shall not disclose to any third party, without the prior written consent of the Producer, any information relating to the Programme/competition, including, but not limited to, the application/selection process, my appearance in the Programme, the production staff, production crew, any other entrants or participants, competition eliminations, the identity of finalists or winners selected, nor any other information which may come to my knowledge relating to the Producer/SABC/Sponsors/suppliers or their agents, or otherwise connected to the Programme, save for information which is already public knowledge through no fault of my own. Should I be approached or contacted by the press, I must immediately refer them to the Producer. I acknowledge and agree that failure to adhere to this provision may, without limiting any other rights the Producers may have in law, lead to my immediate disqualification and I shall not have any claim of whatsoever nature against the Producer/SABC as a result of such disqualification.

4. Indemnity

4.1 I hereby indemnify the Producers/SABC/Sponsors, their subsidiary and affiliated companies, their officers, agents, directors and employees against any costs or damages (including consequential damages and pure economic loss) that may be incurred by the Producers/SABC/Sponsors as a result of claims or charges made against the Producers/SABC/Sponsors (whether at the instance of the third party or myself) for infringement of any right, whether the claim or action arises from delict or contract, or any infringement of whatsoever nature, arising out of or pursuant to the exercise by the Producers/SABC/Sponsors or myself of its/my rights or the fulfilment or breach by myself of my obligations in terms of the competition and such indemnity shall extend to the reasonable costs that may be incurred by the Producers/SABC/Sponsors in defending any action instituted against it.

5. Personal Information

5.1 By entering this competition, I specifically consent to the Producers/SABC/Sponsors sending me information about competitions, promotions, products, offerings, events or similar information and I consent to the Producers and/or sponsors of the Programme processing my personal information provided herein for this purpose from time to time.

6. I warrant that:-

6.1 I understand and accept the terms and conditions contained in this entry form and agree to be bound to these terms and conditions.
6.2 I have the legal capacity to enter this competition and to sign this document.
