EPISODE 10: Making a Difference
This week on Presenter Search on 3 our Top8 finalists are given two challenges involving team work: They need to show how they can co-present, bounce off each other's energy and not overshadow each other, whilst keeping in mind their connection with the audience.
The first challenge sees them heading to the Samsung kitchen at The Woodmill in Stellenbosch, where they pair up to form 4 teams and is given a pot with the main easy-to-cook Woolworths elements in order for them to prepare a 3-course meal for friends and family. They have one hour to do so and the help of either Woolworths Taste Magazine Food Editor Abigail Donnelly or Woolworths Taste Magazine Food Assistant Clement Pedro to make the meal a bit more unique.
The finalists have to learn to work together in a kitchen, to not talk over each other or contradict each other and still interact with the camera and connect with audience. Judge Phat Joe watches their performances from the sidelines.

The second challenge sees them heading to Etafeni Day Care Centre Trust in Nyanga. Etafeni is a multi-purpose centre offering a range of supportive programmes to AIDS-affected families. The finalists were tasked with presenting an insert on the centre as a team, whilst learning the importance of connecting with people, helping people and conveying their messages.
Each finalist had to speak to a member of the centre and find out more about the programmes they run along with the helping hand of Nedbank, who is involved in social upliftment and education as well as volunteerism programmes.
Nedbank joined forces with Presenter Search on 3 for a special project of bringing some colour to the lives of the children at Etafeni - they painted a beautiful mural on the wall and giving away educational gifts to all of the children in the pre-school, creche and afterschool care programmes.
Tune in to Presenter Search on 3 on Friday, 8 May at 7.30 pm to see whether the finalists’ good deeds are valued by the judges as they face elimination. Find it on 3.
